HookedOnMedia Branding & Logotype
HookedOnMedia and I had collaborated on a client’s website for digital marketing services. Off the back of this HookedOnMedia approached me with a view to radically redesigning their website. I suggested their logotype and overall branding needed addressing, it felt very outdated.
I presented a batch of concepts and they lived with a logo choice for a few weeks while I worked on the new website. They came back to me and said they really liked the logo concept but something wasn’t quite right for them; they couldn’t put their finger on it. Mm, what to do next?
Their in-house designer offered some logo suggestions but I wanted my client to stick with the original “hooked” concept, not move away from it. It’s strong, novel and memorable. A second round of concepts hit the target and my client immediately made their choice. Great!
The moral of the story here is simple. My client needed to reposition and refresh their brand but had become attached to their existing logo. Moving away from it was a very personal process which required patience from myself and my client alike.
